Adding ham no longer makes it a “grilled cheese”. It now qualifies as a melt.

In practice, a full melt with that dry ass patty and 3 feet of lettuce is something I’d send back. And I don’t think I’ve ever sent a meal back.

I love grilled cheese and I love patty melts. But I’ve had this type of treatment twice at two different restaurants and found it to be one of those cases where more is not better, just more.
